Content, Captured | A gentle, hands-on content creation workshop in Perth for women in business

$249.00

You've decided you want to show up online. You also know how it feels to open your camera, see your own face, and close it again.

This workshop is for intentional, authentic women who want to market their business in a way that feels true to them. No dancing. No trends. No algorithm hacks. No performing. Just you, your phone, and a way of working that fits into the business you already run.

I've designed this to be the simplest way to start recording for your business, with the least possible barriers to entry.

We'll explore how to notice and capture what is already interesting about your work, your ideas and the way you see the world.

We'll also spend time away from the screen. Some of the best content ideas come from looking at shadows on a wall, the colour of something in your garden, the texture of a thing you make with your hands. You already notice beautiful things. This workshop teaches you how to turn that noticing into content only you could make.

This is not a class where you sit and watch slides. You'll spend a big part of the day filming, with me beside you, adjusting the light and the angle and cheering you on.

Being on camera is a dial, not a switch. If showing your face feels like too much right now, that's completely okay. You can film your hands, your space, your work, or use your voice only. You choose what feels right, and you'll leave knowing how to gently move that dial when you're ready.

Across three hours together, you'll learn how to:

  • Notice and discover content ideas already hiding inside your normal working day

  • Build your creative eye by finding inspiration somewhere other than everyone else's Instagram

  • Find the beautiful light that already lives in your home or workspace

  • Set up your phone properly, once, so it stops getting in your way

  • Capture B-roll you can use for months to come

  • Plan and know what to say when you press record

  • Work out where your own comfort edge is, and move at your own pace

  • Show your personality while keeping the boundaries that matter to you

  • Speak to the people who make you light up and breathe life into your business

  • Build a content bank so you stop starting from nothing

What you'll leave with:

  1. A printed workbook we work through together on the day, and you keep adding to afterwards

  2. Practical prompts and exercises to keep experimenting with

  3. Notice, Capture, Connect, the framework to build your content on

  4. Filming reminders and resources you can keep using

  5. A reflection journal on being seen, for the tricky feelings that come up as you expand

  6. First access to Level 2, the more technical follow-up workshop

On the day: tea and coffee with a variety of milks and snacks.

What to bring:

  • Water

  • Notebook and pen

  • Fully charged phone and your charger. Please clear some storage space before you come, ideally a few gigabytes

  • A power bank, if you have one

  • A tripod, if you already own one. If you don't, bring yourself and we'll share - or you can purchase one here: Content Kit Add-On

  • Something from your business you'd like to practise filming, like a product, tool or object (Optional)

Who's running this

I'm Bec, a brand photographer and designer. I spend my working life behind a camera with women who told me initially that they hate having their photo taken and I help them find the version of themselves they didn't know a camera could catch. That's the part I'm bringing to this workshop. The technical side does matter, but what really uplevels your content is feeling safe enough to be seen. I know how to hold that space, because it's what I do every week.
